Does the Bridezilla Shoe Fit You?
Bridezillas are not pretty and are very unpleasant to be around. Take a long, introspective look at yourself and shift your thinking if the Bridezilla shoe fits you.
If the stress of wedding planning turns you into Bridezilla, step back and access what’s really troubling you. Maybe you aren’t ready to get married. Or, maybe you need to reschedule the date to give you more time. Or, maybe you’ve picked the wrong guy.
Engagements and weddings are supposed to be fun. Don’t try to control everything and all the decisions. Allowing others to help make decisions and plan lessens your stress and can help bring you closer together as family or friends.
If you are yelling a lot, ask your partner (or mother!) to please just listen calmly. By venting emotionally, you may discover that you are mad at yourself or someone else and not the person you are yelling at.
It’s your wedding day. Revel in the joy and happiness. If things happen that were not planned, it’s your choice to make it the best day for yourself. Keep your patience and sense of humor when the ring bearer uses the pillow to take a nap before the entire guest party.
Above all, drink in every second of the commitment ceremony as you exchange vows with your soul mate. This is what truly matters in life.
