Internet based dating is more than simply a craze, it is a permanent part of our society and has speedily changed into a well-accepted channel where individuals can converge to find love.

Pros of On-line Dating:

  1. It is quick. You don’t have to dress up to have the benefit of someone’s companionship. You can simply log in and exchange texts any time you like.
  2. It’s not an obligation. Just because you chat with someone in an on-line dating site does not mean you’re obliged to him or her already.  Internet based dating is a trial-and-error approach of  selecting prospects that may lead you to finding the ONE for you.
  3. You can sort through to find the best among the many.  Unlike dating in real life where the individual you’re seeing would most likely expect exclusivity, on-line dating offers more freedom. You can talk to as many individuals as you like until you choose Mr. or Ms. Right.  Notice I said, until YOU CHOOSE.  Quite often we allow others to choose us…STOP THAT…You also have the power of choice.
  4. People can express themselves better, at least initially, because of the privacy provided by the Internet.
  5. People do fine true love through on-line dating.  (I did!)

Cons of On-line Dating:

  1. The majority of on-line dating websites ask for association fees. There are free on-line dating sites, certainly, but I do not recommend them as there may be more predators associated with those sites.
  2. There is no certain protection against nuisance and dishonesty given the anonymity offered through the web.
  3. You won’t be able to examine the person’s facial expression, their way of talking, and their habits until you meet in person, or even more novel than that, talk about them over several conversations.
  4. You can never be certain about the appearance of the individual.   You can never be sure until you see them face to face. (By the way, my husband and I did not see pictures of each other – we got to know each other deeply over the phone and email before meeting – it worked for us – in fact, if we had seen pictures of each other, we would not have pursued each other)  Think of  Susan Boyle and how everyone was astonished until she started singing!
